Crowns and Veneers in Tampa, FL

It can be hard to smile with confidence when you have damaged or decayed teeth. Every time you open your mouth is another chance to draw unwanted attention to yourself. It can be both embarrassing and exhausting to deal with. That’s why Dalton Dental offers aesthetic precision crowns and veneers to patients looking to rejuvenate their smile and restore function to their damaged or decayed teeth.

Veneers in Tampa, FL

With aesthetic precision veneers, you can take your misaligned, chipped, cracked, or discolored teeth and make them straight, shapely, and shiny white. Veneers are made with a very thin, custom-designed shell, often made of porcelain, which is made to fit over your tooth and restore its beautiful appearance. It’s a minimally invasive process that can usually be completed in just two dental visits.

If you decide you’d like dental veneers, your dentist will first give you an examination to determine whether or not you’re a good candidate for the procedure. If you are a good candidate, your dentist will file your teeth down so that the veneers can fit over them. Then, a 3-D digital scan of your teeth and mouth will be created and sent to a dental lab so that the veneers can be fabricated.

Once the veneers have been created, you will return to the office to have them fitted. Once they have been made to fit perfectly, your dentist will cement them on, using a special UV light to ensure that the cement dries quickly.

Crowns in Tampa, FL

Aesthetic precision crowns can protect and restore damaged or decayed teeth. A crown is a ceramic cap designed to match the look and feel of natural teeth. It is custom-fitted to cover a tooth that is broken or decayed. Aesthetic precision crowns can be made to match your other teeth so accurately that you won’t be able to tell the difference between the two. This procedure can usually be completed in just two visits.

Receiving a dental crown is a very similar process to receiving veneers. Your tooth must be prepared, and a scan must be made of it so that it can be sent to a dental lab, where a custom-fitted crown will then be fabricated. This process usually takes a few weeks. You will receive a temporary crown to protect your exposed tooth in the meantime.

Once the crown is complete, you will come in to have it fixed in your mouth. Your dentist will make any necessary adjustments to ensure that the crown fits perfectly. Once that’s done, they will then cement it into your mouth permanently.
