Generally, children should start seeing a dentist sometime around the age of 2, when most or all of their baby teeth have come in. Unless there is an injury or emergency, this would be the first check-up and should include polishing their teeth or, at the very least, a visual exam with a pediatric dentist. We do see older children here at Dalton Dental.
